Creative soldiers of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Engineers, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Commando Regiment, Special Forces, Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and Infantry Training Centre added their creative skills to the recent ‘Techno Sri Lanka 2017’ Mega Exhibition at the BMICH premises by exhibiting a number of new innovations and other inventions.
The Army's contribution to the Mega Exhibition included new 8 more innovations invented by Army soldiers. Creative products, weaponry, lethal and non-lethal weapons, machineries, communication equipment, etc, of the Army received overwhelming attention of the public in the exhibition.
Sri Lanka Army’s recently-raised Research Analysis Projection & Development Branch, poised exclusively to tap innate creative skills and innovative talents, inherent in Army personnel in coordination with the Adjutant General Branch of the Army and Director General Personnel Administration of the Army was instrumental in this initiative.
‘Techno Sri Lanka 2017’, the national engineering and technology exhibition and the flagship event of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) was ceremonially inaugurated on Friday (13) and continued until Sunday (15) evening.
