An invaluable donation of a Riverse Osmosis (RO) plant to fulfil the requirement of clean drinking water in Aluth-Halmillewa Vidyalaya in Aluth - Halmillewa area took place on Thursday (03) in a simple ceremony.
The RO plant to the value of Rs 2 lakhs was sponsored by Mr Sunimal Kristiguge and his family.
The RO plant is capable of purifying 1200 ltrs of water per day adequate for the school children in Aluth-Halmillewa area.
Villagers in the area have been suffering for a long time due to lack of pure drinking water.
The Brigade Commander, 621 Brigade, Colonel P.S.K Sanjeewa, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers were present at the occasion.
