Army Finds Jobs for Unemployed Jaffna Youths

THE MAIN company, K.B. Ebert & Sons Ltd, engaged in the Jaffna- Point Pedro main road reconstruction work, following a request made by the Army offered job opportunities for eight youths in Mirusuvil, Jaffna.   

Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya during a recent visit to the peninsula instructed Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna to explore possibilities of finding as many employment opportunities as possible to unemployed Tamil youngsters in the area. 

Accordingly, Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna has had discussions with the above company. The company’s project manager Mr R. Kithmini Kumara in response to the Army’s request prepared appointment letters for those unemployed youths and got them down for work.

Those eight youths from Mirusuvil area expressed their gratitude to the Army and recently received letters of appointment from Brigadier Lal Perera, 52 Division Commander in the presence of the company’s project manager and a few Army officers.
