Army Enters FA Cup Finals

Sri Lanka Army after defeating many football giants in the country has reached the finals of the Football Association Cup finals this year. Army has reached finals in three previous occasions in the history of FA Cup and has become the champs once.

Soldiers will meet Don Bosco Negambo at the finals on 9th July at City League Grounds, Malay Street, Colombo. The Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya is scheduled to witness the finals as the Chief Guest. On their way to the finals Army beat Old Bens 3-1, Wennappuwa youth 6-0 and Sri Lanka Police 5-0.

Sri Lanka Army has competed in FA Cup every year since its inauguration in 1951.
