Army CSO Supervises Telecom Network in ‘Ex-Cormorant Strike’

With the motive of assessing the functional aspect of the telecommunication network, related to the ‘Exercise Cormorant Strike VIII - 2017’, now underway in the Eastern Province, Major General Ajith Wijesinghe, Chief Signal Officer (CSO) of the Army went to the mock operational headquarters of the Exercise at Minneriya on Thursday (7).

Deputy Exercise Director, Brigadier Nishantha Herath after receiving the visiting Chief Signal Officer briefed him comprehensively on the progress of the Exercise and effectiveness of the communication network in place.

Meanwhile, foreign participants, engaged in the ongoing ‘Exercise Cormorant Strike VIII - 2017’ visited the mock operational headquarters of the Commando Brigade and the Special Force Brigade, near Borawewa and the Monkey Bridge Army camp in Trincomalee respectively during the past couple of days after the Exercise formally kicked off on Sunday (3).
