Army Sports Club beat Bergers’ Recreation Club (BRC) in the first inning in the 2016/2017 premier league three day Cricket Tournament, conducted by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) at the Army Cricket Grounds, Panagoda during 2-5 December.
Excellent performances were shown by Sergeant D.G.A.S Gunarathna scoring 158 runs and Lance Bombodier A.G.V.L Madushanka with 67 runs in the 1st Innings.
Meanwhile, Private G.V Pushpakumara took 4 wickets for 57 runs and Private A.H.D.A.S Ridma took 2 wickets for 10 runs in the1st Innings.
During the second innings, Sergeant D.G.A.S Gunarathna shone once again scoring 69 runs and Private A.H.D.A.S Ridma with 56 runs.
Meanwhile, Lance Corporal A.J.C Silva took 2 wickets for 14 runs in the 2nd Innings.
