Army Cricketers Carry Away Championships & Runners-Up Slots

Sri Lanka Army cricketers carried away three championships and two runners-up slots in separate tournaments (men and women) conducted by the Sri Lanka Cricket.

Early in the year, Army Men’s team secured the Inter Club T-20 Championship while women’s team won the Inter Club limited over Championship and runners-up slot in the year 2011. 

In the same year, Men’s team also won the runners-up slot in the limited over Championship and became Champions under 23 T-20 Cricket match beating SSC at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. 

Sri Lanka Army has produced many more talented cricketers both male and female to compete in both National and International levels.

Army cricketers paid their sincere gratitude to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva and Director Sports, Brigadier Athula Galagamage for their commitment to cricket.
