Army Cricket Does it Again in Premier League

Sri Lanka Army cricket team, recording the second successive win in the prestigious Sri Lanka Cricket Premier League Cricket Tounament beat the rival, Panadura Sports Club by 52 runs.

The Army team, ably guided by its ace spinners, Ajantha Mendis and Sekkuge Prasanna turned the match to their favour, although the whole game continued in a low scoring spree during the first innings.

However, Prasanna Sekkuge with a six wicket haul challenged his rival’s fortunes in their first innings. Ajantha Mendis as against a set target of 187 bowled the Panadura Sports Club team out for 134.
 
In the Group 'A', the Army Sports Club led with 33.135 points against nine more clubs.
