In parallel with the National Health Week (Dec 10-17), the 515 Brigade troops at Kankasanturai conducted a cleaning campaign in the Telippalai Base Hospital premises on Saturday (15).
More than 75 soldiers of the 7 Gajaba Regiment (GR) serving the 515 Brigade carried out the Shramadana (Self Help) programme.
On the following day, more than 60 soldiers, together with civilians in the area and some Police personnel donated blood to the blood bank at the same hospital. Brigadier B. Randeniya, Commander, 515 Brigade directed the troops for these projects.
