NORTH & EAST: ARMY troops on Tuesday (28) recovered thirteen anti personnel mines, six T-56 weapons, nineteen T-56 magazines, six I-com sets, fifteen thousand one hundred and eighty-one rounds of T-56 ammunition, two claymore mines, one container with a stock of 12.7 mm ammunition, two hundred and seventy-five 12.7 mm ammunition, twelve pistol ammunition, four thousand and one hundred rounds of Multi Purpose Machine Gun (MPMG) ammunition, one T-81 weapon, ten 60 mm mortar bombs, Rs. 4300/= in cash, four cans of kerosene, two Yesu radio sets, three I-com set batteries, five antennas, three Outboard Motors (OBM), five 81 mm mortar bombs, fifteen 82 mm mortar bombs, three hand grenades, two Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG) and three Jonny mines from OLUMADU and PUTHUKKUDIYIRUPPU areas.
Meanwhile, troops recovered five anti personnel mines and three 40 mm mortar bombs from the general area of KAJUWATHTHA in BATTICALOA in the same day (28).
