Army Chief Calls at Navy Headquarters


Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva Monday (16) morning went to the Navy Headquarters in order to pay a courtesy call on his counterpart in the Navy.

A Guard of Honour, accorded by sailors on arrival at the premises saluted the visiting Commander of the Army.

Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva during the goodwill meeting with Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, Commander of the Navy, focused on matters of mutual concern and security interest.

Towards the culmination of the interaction, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera presented a symbolic memento to the visiting Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva. The gesture was reciprocated.

Before his departure, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva was invited to leave memories in the visitors’ book at the Navy Headquarters.
