Army-built Two More New Homes Vested with Two Underprivileged Families in Jaffna

Two more new houses constructed by Army personnel for two underprivileged families in Karappan, Kayts with the sponsorship, provided by members of ‘Daham Pahana’ of Brother Charles Thomas were vested with recipients on Wednesday (22) during a brief ceremony.

Religious leaders, Brother Charles Thomas, Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, community leaders and a large gathering of civilians were present during the handover ceremony.

Troops at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) built those two houses after the living standards of those two families were brought to the notice of the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna. The process received the blessings of the Grama Seva official and other relevant local authorities.

Brother Charles and other donors of the ‘Daham Pahana’ Foundation provided financial assistance to the project upon the request to this effect was made by the Jaffna Commander. Running sports | Nike
