Army Body Builder Sergeant W.G Amila Wins Mr Sri Lanka- 2017

Sri Lanka Army Sports Club earned top honours at the National Body Building Championship, organized by the Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (SLBBFF) on Saturday (23) at Ave Maria auditorium complex in Negombo.

Sergeant W.G Amila of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC), representing the Sri Lanka Army Sports Club won the ‘Mr Sri Lanka’ title in the SLBBFF Championship - 2017.

Defeating more than 8 sports clubs, the Army Sports Club scored top honours to claim six Gold (6), three Silver (3) and two Bronze (2) medals during the tournament.

Hon Dayasiri Jayasekara, Minister of Sports, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and awarded certificates, trophies and cash prizes to the winners respectively.

Major General Wajira Palihakkara, Chairman, Army Body Building Committee, Weight-Lifting and Power-Lifting Committee stood behind organizing the tournament.
