The finals of the Inter Regiment Billiard and Snooker Tournament, held on Sunday (27) at Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) gymnasium, offered championship to Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) team.
The last year’s winner, Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) carried away the 1st runners-up slot.
Major W.M.G.G Wijayakoon of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) won the Snooker championship (individual) and Private H.A.M Rimsan of (SLE) the amateur Snooker championship (individual).
Lieutenant Colonel, D.V.P Kariyawasam, of Gajaba Regiment (GR) won the Billiard championship (individual) and Corporal K.A.R Samandisi of ESR carried away the championship in the amateur category.
Major General E.M.M Ambanpola, Colonel Commandant of SLE graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the trophies to the winners.
