Army Begins Its Own Emission Tests on Vehicles

The Directorate of Army Supply and Transport (S&T), taking a new initiative in the conduct of vehicle emission tests got 56 Army personnel trained for the assignment after they underwent training with representatives of the Department of the Registrar of Motor Vehicles.

The new project, launched as a novel approach of Colonel Hirosha Wanigasekara, Director, S & T enables the Army to cut down the expenditure, thus incurred on ‘emission tests’ being carried out by private sector institutions.

After the training workshop to this effect, those 56 trainees at respective Sri Lanka Electrical Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) workshops, Independent Squadrons, Headquarters, Divisions and formation levels have now begun to carry out those emission inspections on all vehicles operating in the Army.

As per the gazette notification, all vehicles operating in the country have been advised to get a certificate after conducting an emission test in an attempt to help cut down environmental pollution. All Army vehicles can now approach for conduct of such emission tests free of charge at respective locations.Authentic Nike Sneakers | Women's Designer Sneakers - Luxury Shopping
