Army Amateur Boxers Clinch Four Championships in Tournament

Sri Lanka Army amateur boxers emerged champions in four categories, runners up in two categories and third place in four categories out of ten Weight Classes during the recent Laten Trophy Tournament played at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

At the same time, Army woman amateur boxers won the championship in one category, runners up in one category and third place in two categories during the tournament after participation of four woman boxers.

In the men’s category, Private W.A.C.I Perera (Sri Lanka Ordnance Corps), Lance Corporal A.P.P Chandra Kumara (Sri Lanka Army Service Corps), Corporal  M.A Diwarathne (Sri Lanka Army Service Corps) and Private A.R.B.E Thilakarathne (Sri Lanka Army Service Corps) emerge champions under different weight classes.
