Another Batch Enlisted to Follow Indigenous Agricultural Course

The Non Commissioned Officers’ Training School (NCOTS) at Kalaoya in collaboration with the ‘Sanasa Nature Farm’ (Sobadaham Govipala) at Ukuwela commenced one more organic farming training programme, based on  ‘Spiritual Bio-dynamic Traditional Agriculture’ on Monday (3) for officers and other ranks after a  brief ceremony held at the NCOTS. 

21 Army personnel comprised of 1 officer and 20 other ranks will follow this course with the intention of further enhancing their knowledge on traditional farming practices and helping them to earn an additional income upon retirement from the service.

Brigadier K. D. C. G. J. Tilakarathne, Commandant - NCOTS together with   environmentalist Mr. Tilak Kandegama , Derector General - ‘Sanasa Nature Farm’, Mr. K. D. Navarathne , Director, ‘Sanasa’ Bank, Ukuwela, Mr. Upali Wanasinghe  General Manager ‘Sanasa’ Bank, Ukuwela  and Lieutenant Colonel D. R. N. Hettiarachchi, Commanding Officer- NCOTS attended  the opening ceremony.
