9 VIR Troops Rush to Repair Barathipuram Culvert

Troops on standby to assist flood-affected civilians in Kilinochchi area offered their support for renovation of a culvert that was washed away by floods, situated in close proximity to the Advanced Infantry Platoon Training school in Barathipuram, Kilinochchi.

9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops after learning that movement along the road from Barathipuram to Vinayagapuram has come to a standstill on Thursday (1) due to the part destruction of culvert went to the affected area and joined hands with local authorities and civilians for repair of the same.

Civilians in Krishnapuram have also brought the disruption to the notice of the troops before Major General Amal Karunasekara, Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi instructed his troops to attend the need of the hour.
