88 Military Police Recruits Pass Out

The Passing Out Parade (POP) of 88 Recruits of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) who followed the SLCMP Recruit Training Course No. 72 took place on 25 April at the SLCMP Training School in Giritale, Minneriya.

SLCMP’s Brigadier D.P.M.T Ubayawardane, serving as the Project Coordinator at the Ministry of Urban Development as the Chief Guest, received the salute of the recruits who passed out after their three-month long training at the invitation of Major K.A.K.S Prasanna, Overlooking Commandant at the SLCMP Training School in Giritale, Minneriya.

Special merit awards were given to following categories under different fields of excellence on the same occasion.

Private S.A.V.T Seneviratne was adjudged and awarded as the Best All-rounder and Private H.R.D.K Chandraratne was awarded as the Best Shooter.

The Best Platoon Commander award went to Lieutenant P.M.B.N Danawansha while Staff Sergeant H.M.P.M Herath and Corporal W.D.G.B.S Keerthisinghe were respectively named as the Best Platoon Sergeant and the Best Section Commander.
