Major General Ruwan Kulathunga, Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) made a formal visit to the 8 SLLI Unit, based in Delgoda on Friday (22) on an inspection tour.
Major Anura Nanayakkara, Commanding Officer of the 8 SLLI welcomed the Colonel of the Regiment at the main entrance and invited him to unveil a plaque and open the main gateway to the battalion.
A Guard Turnout greeted him on arrival. A symbolic tree planting, troop address, camp visit and participation in All Rank tea arrangement culminated the day’s proceedings.
