724 More Jaffna Students Get Incentives for Studies

A total of 724 students learning in Jaffna Muththuthambi Maha Vidyalaya, Jaffna Kondavil Paramajothi Vidyalaya and Jaffna Kokuvil R.C.T.M Vidyalaya were awarded free parcels of school uniforms, each worth about Rs 1,000/= following patronage extended once again to the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) by the Chairman, ‘Foundation of Goodness’ of Mr Kushil Gunasekara on Thursday (4).

The inaugural donation programme for 490 students kicked off at Muththuthambi Maha Vidyalaya, Jaffna Thursday (4) morning on the directions of Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J) under the coordination of the 511 Brigade of the 51 Division Headquarters.

Under the programme, 490 students in Jaffna Muththuthambi Maha Vidyalaya, 234 students in Jaffna Kondavil Paramajothi Vidyalaya and Jaffna Kokuvil R.C.T.M Vidyalaya received those incentives in separate ceremonies.

Mr Ananda Jayawardena, Operation Manager of the ‘Foundation of Goodness’, Mr N. Thewaraja, Nallur Zonal Education Director, Major General Roshan Seneviratne, General Officer Commanding, 51 Division, Colonel Chandana Wickramasinghe, Brigade Commander, 511 Brigade, principals, teachers, parents and students were also present during respective ceremonies.
