7 VIR Troops Organized Clinic Treats More Than 300 Civilians


A medical camp that provided consultations and treatment for civilians in Madduvil area in the 52 Division Headquarters area of the Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna (SFHQ-J) was organized on Saturday (9) with the support of the Kurunegala Red Cross Society Branch.

Troops and Commanding officer of the 7th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (7 VIR) Lieutenant Colonel W.M.M.K.D. Bandara, serving the 52 Division area organized the mobile clinic at Madduvil Chandramavlisa school.

About 300 civilians sought medical assistance from the camp, attended by three doctors, attached to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital and the Manthikai Hospital.

Brigadier Anura Sudhasinghe, General Officer Commanding 52 Division saw the start of the medical camp on that day.
