7 SLLI Warrant Officers’ New Mess Opened

The newly-constructed Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants Mess’ at the 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Battalion at Kilinochchi was declared open by Major General Amal Karunasekara, Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi  (SF-KLN) during a grand  ceremony held at the Battalion premises on Saturday (14).  

All ranks of the Battalion contributed to the construction by way of labour and voluntary offer of financial donations by themselves under the instructions and supervisions of Lieutenant Colonel Sujith Kulasekara, Commanding Officer (CO), 7 SLLI.  

Major General Amal Karunasekara, Colonel of the SLLI Regiment, Commander SF- KLN at the invitation of Lieutenant Colonel Sujith Kulasekara, CO – 7 SLLI  attended the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest together with General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Commander - Forward Maintenance  Area  and Brigade Commanders of 57  Division.

Commanding Officers of the area, officers, Senior Non Commissioned Officers (SNCO) were present at the occasion.
