66 Division Gifts Pooneryn Students with School Stationeries

66 Division troops in coordination with the Christian Youth Society of Colombo Diocese gave away a large stock of school stationeries to Pooneryn students on Saturday (17) following arrangements made by the 66 Division Headquarters.

The aim of this charity programme organized by 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops was aimed at helping the students in those areas.

The arrangement was also intended to promote understanding, goodwill and reconciliation between southerners and northerners.

Rev. Fr. Jude Amladas of the Shivanagar Church welcomed the gathering and Rev. Fr. Gihan Gunathilake of Colombo Diocese invoked Holy blessings.

Brigadier Duminda Keppetiwalana, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 66 Division attended the occasion as the Chief Guest.

125 school stationery packs to the value of Rs. 200,000/= were donated among the children at the occasion.
