As an immediate relief measure for drought-hit civilians in Gautharimunai, Pallikuda, Ghanimadam, Vallaipadu, Palavi and Ponnaveli Grama Seva Divisions in the Kilinochchi District, the 66 Division Headquarters recently took steps to distribute more than 800 water bottles of 19 litres each among the most deserving in above villages.
560 families under this relief measure received water bottles, thanks to the sponsorship provided to the 66 Division by Messrs Piyal Keppetiwalana, Suresh Nalingam and Chaminda Jayasundara of Kurunegala.
The distributing programme was launched under the guidance of the Brigade Commanders of 661 and 663 Brigades on the directions of Brigadier D. C Keppetiwalana, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division.
