In response to an invitation, made by the Trustee Board of the Siththivanayar Kovil at Alankulama, 65 Division troops recently participated in the ‘Thaipongal’ commemorative ceremony.
Troops of the 65 Division held a ‘Shramadana’ campaign to clean the Kovil premises before the religious programme took place. Brigadier Sarath Weerawardana, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division has supported the arrangement.
Colonel Sujith Balachandra, Brigade Commander, 653 Brigade, senior officers, officers and other ranks took part in the ceremony.
