Troops of the 65 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) celebrated Deepavali festival, together with Hindu devotees at Iyyanayaka Kovil on Tuesday (10).
It was organized as per instructions of Brigadier W.A.S Weerawardena, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division. Civil Affairs Officer, 65 Division, officers, other rankers and civilians attended the event with enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, troops of the 65 Division planted 100 tree saplings in 651,653 Brigade premises during 10-11 November to be in line with the ‘Wana Ropa’ programme.
Troops of the 651 and 653 Brigades, 15(V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) contributed to make these programmes a success.
