A stock of school accessories, inclusive of exercise books, pens, pencils, etc, provided by the Anuradhapura branch of Singer Sri Lanka Pvt Ltd were distributed among pre-school kids at Peraru Vinayagar pre-school in Mullaittivu, following an initiative taken by 64 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT).
Troops of the 64 Division, commanded by Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera, General Officer Commanding were informed of the requirement for such accessories since those kids are mostly from poor families in the area.
25 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 64 Division coordinating the project handed over the stock to the teachers in the pre-school for distribution on Tuesday (10) to coincide with the 68th Army anniversary day.
