To be in line with the ongoing ‘Wanaropa’ tree planting campaign of the Army, 62 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) took steps to plant saplings along both sideways of Parakramapura - Welioya main road on Saturday (23).
During the programme, headed by Senior Officers of the SFHQ-W, 621 Brigade and Mrs Shiromi Masakorala, Executive Director, Hemas Outreach Foundation / General Manager Communications and Sustainable Development, a total of 300 saplings of jack, cashew, pomegranate and different fruits were planted along the said roadsides.
On the same occasion, another stock of 250 valuable saplings among 25 farmers of local Associations of Farmers were distributed in an attempt to popularize and encourage civilians for tree planting.
Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni has directed the 62 Division Headquarters to spearhead the campaign in this connection. Nike sneakers | シューズ
