6 GW Troops Salute Their Fallen Colleagues

Major General T. S Bansajaya, Commandant, Infantry Training School at Minneriya at the invitation of 6 Gemunu Watch (GW) Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel J. M. D. N. C Jayamaha unveiled the 6 GW War Hero monument inside the Damminna camp in Maduruoya, Polonnaruwa on Sunday (23).

The day’s Chief Guest at the request of the CO 6 GW, unveiled the monument and showed his respect to it, together with several Senior Officers. A brief address to the GW troops added importance to the day’s proceedings and recalled the bravery of GW troops during the humanitarian war.

The day’s Chief Guest was greeted to a Guard Turn Out on arrival at the main entrance and was later conducted to the War Hero monument.
