591 Brigade Turns Eight Year Old

The 591 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters – Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) recently marked its 8th Anniversary with military traditions and  religious observances under the directions of Colonel W.S.B. Nayakarathne, 591 Brigade Commander.

A Guard Turnout presented by  23 Sri Lanka Army Light Infantry (SLLI) troops, saluted the Brigade Commander at the Brigade Headquarters premises no sooner than he  arrived at the place.

Afterwards, the Brigade Commander addressed the gathering  as a formality and  sat together with the all ranks for a  lunch treat.
         

A Bodhi Pooja Pinkama and  conduct of a Dhamma sermon were held to invoke blessings on disable War Heroes and transferred merits to the Fallen War Heroes as dusk fell.

Senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event.
