The newly-constructed gymnasium of the 59 Division under the Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) was declared opened by Major General P.U.S. Vithanage, Commander, SFHQ-MLT at the invitation of Brigadier N.D. Wanniarachchi, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 59 Division on Wednesday (11).
Also, Major General Vithanage, together with Brigadier Wanniarachchi opened the Indoor Badminton Court at the gymnasium where an exhibition match was played by the Army badminton team.
Brigadier R.A.A. Perera, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaittivu, Brigadier N.M. Hettiarachchi, Brigadier General Staff, SFHQ-MLT, Brigadier D.S.A. Dehiwatte, Brigadier Admin & Quartering, Brigadier K.H.P.P. Fernando, Deputy GOC, 59 Division and several officers attended the occasion.
