57 Division Troops Offered Lunch Treat to Elders

Troops of the 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) of the 571 Brigade of the 57 Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) took part in a meritorious event at S.K Elders home in Malayalapuram on Tuesday (19).

Those 9 VIR troops offered a lunch treat to 29 elders at the S.K Elders home and gave gift parcels including essential day-today items.

In addition, 16 selected children in the same area were gifted stationary packs by the 9 VIR troops.

This meritorious project was organized under the guidance of Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN), Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana and with the supervision of General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Major General Jagath Gunawardena.

Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Brigade Commander, 571 Brigade, Colonel Ajith Kolambathantri, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
