563 Brigade Conducts Medical Clinics


More than 2150 civilians got free medical assistance from Army-organized too medical clinics, conducted at Bogaswewa village and Agrabodhi Maha Vidyalaya, Kokeliya, Vavuniya. 56 Division under the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) with the co-operation of the organization ‘Jayagrahanaya’ Sri Lanka arranged these camps during Sunday (21) and Monday (22).    

Both programmes were launched under the aegis of Ven Etambagaskada Kalyanatissa Nayaka Thero at the request of the General Officer Commanding-56 Division and 563 Brigade Commander in respective areas. 

17 doctors, 18 medical assistants, Prof Shantha K. Hennayake, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Peradeniya University, Mr Hemantha Adikari, Senior Superintendent of the Police, Vavuniya and a large gathering of civilians attended the occasion.

One Dr Jeewaka coordinated the programmes for the Army.
