On account of the 68th Army Anniversary, troops serving the 552 Brigade under the 55 Division of the Security Force Headquarters- Jaffna arranged a special blood donation programme in coordination with the medical staff at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital on Tuesday (10).
It was organized under the guidance of Brigadier Jayantha Gunarathna, General Officer Commanding, 55 Division Headquarters.
More than 150 Army personnel donated their blood during the programme, held at the 23 Gemunu Watch Battalion Headquarters of the 552 Brigade during the event.
Brigade Commander 552 Brigade, other Officers, Jaffna Hospital’s Dr. T Kalaiselvam with other medical staff of the hospital were in place to support the community project.
