Religious programmes of Buddhist and Hindu faiths, conducted at 52 Division Headquarters and Suddha Puram Kovil at Varani preceded the marking of 18th anniversary of the 52 Division Headquarters on August 24, 2013.
Ven Vennewaththe Rathanajothi Thero, conducted Buddhist observances at the Division Headquarters, followed by military honours presented to the General Officer Commanding, 52 Division in line with military formalities.
Late in the evening, a mega musical show with the participation of Ranaviru Real Stars, entertained the troops. Major General M. Hathurusinghe, Commander Security Force Headquarters, Jaffna (SFHQ-J) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
51and 55 Division Commanders, 512,522 and 523 Brigade Commanders, a large number of senior officers and other ranks attended the occasion.
