35 More Potential Army Retirees Receive NVQ Certificates at CAVT

A batch of 35 more potential Army retirees who underwent vocational training at the Centre for Army Vocational Training (CAVT) at Kalaoya, Saliyawewa received their proficiency certificates and passed out as tradesmen on Tuesday (1).

The CAVT with the support of resource personnel of the Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority (SLVTA) conducted these courses which qualified them to receive the well-recognized National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level – 3 certificate.

The 6 month-long CAVT course on ‘Bio Diversity and Agriculture’ recognizes and endorses their completion of the course to suit vocational standards, laid down by the SLVTA.

Brigadier Randula Hathnagoda, Commandant, CAVT, Lieutenant Colonel V.D.S Perera, Commanding Officer, CAVT, Major N.M.S.A.B Narayana, Chief Instructor, CAVT and Captain B.M.S.U Bandara, Training Coordinator, CAVT and several officers attended the certificate awarding ceremony.
