With the support of Dr. Mrs Weerasuriya and a team of medical staff, the 24 Division Headquarters under the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E), conducted an eye clinic on Saturday (5) at Ampara area.
More than 160 civilians affected with various eye ailments were examined and given medical consultations during the full-day clinic.
Meanwhile, 24 Division Headquarters, taking another initiative organized a seminar for students attending the Grade 5 scholarship examination in August this year.
More than 195 students from Mahakalugolla School and Sinhala School under Lahugala and Pottuvil Gramaseva Divisions, participated in the seminar, held at Pottuvil Ulla Sinhapura School on Friday (4).
On the directions of Major General Lal Perera, Commander, SFHQ-E, those arrangements were made.
