23 Division under the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) conducted a blood donation campaign to celebrate its Silver Jubilee (25th Anniversary) on Monday (20) at the 23 Division Headquarters, Punani.
The blood donation campaign was organized on a request made by the Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa since the hospital has run short of blood, needed for patients.
Dr. Yasindu Fernando and the medical staff at the Teaching Hospital Blood Bank, Batticaloa assisted the conduct of the blood donation.
Major General D.D.U.K. Hettiarachchi, General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, together with 200 Army personnel, including officers and other ranks donated blood during the arrangement.
