22 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters – East (SFHQ-E) organized Christmas Carols at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Trincomalee on Saturday (24).
Christmas Carols programme was organized with the intention of promoting religious co-existence among communities in Trincomalee area under the guidance of Major General Aruna Jayasekara, General Officer Commanding, 22 Division under the supervision of Brigadier Sumith Premalal, 221 Brigade Commander.
Most Rev Noel Emmanuel, Bishop of Trincomalee attended as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Major General Aruna Jayasekara.
Christmas tree, Christmas cribs and other decorations were on display during the event. School children coloured the Carol programme and presented dancing feats. The colourful evening glittered with fireworks.
Senior Army Officers, Other Ranks, Civilians and Children were also present during the event.
