Troops of the 22 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) conducted a special ‘Dengue Awareness Programme’ at public places inElahera, Bakamuna and Kinniya areas during March 2-5 with the support of public authorities.
The awareness programme organized on the instructions of the Commander, Security Forces- east (SF-E) and under the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 22 Division in liaison with the Public Health Inspectors (PHIs), Medical Officer of Health (MoH) and Medical Officers of the respective areas was joined by civilians.
During this two-day programme, troops and respective medical teams educated the community on how effectively Dengue can be eliminated by maintaining a hygienic atmosphere at work places and their homes as well.
