Inter-Division Volleyball Tournament of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E), organized annually with the intention of finding potential players to represent the Army and national teams whilst promoting the national sport of Sri Lanka got underway on Wednesday (3) at Polonnaruwa National Sports Complex amidst a large gathering of Army sports-lovers.
Major General Aruna Jayasekara, Commander, Security Forces - East (SF-E) has directed all SF troops to give their support to the event. Defeating the SFHQ-E team, players in the 22 Division volleyball team won in the finals in the Inter-Division Volleyball Tournament - 2019 after a very close contest.
Commander, SF-E graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and awarded certificates and trophies to the winners. The best performances displayed are as follows;
Best Player - Lance Bombardier I.W.S.T Ilukwaththa of SFHQ-E
Best Attacker - Trooper H.M.H.M Jayarathna of 22 Division
