The Inter Battalion 20/20 Cricket Tournament of the Security Forces Headquarters- Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), organized by the 651 Brigade concluded on Sunday (26) at Mankulam grounds.
34 teams from SFHQ-KLN area and 08 teams from Civil Clubs participated in the tournament which saw the finals held on Sunday (26). Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN who was behind the successful conclusion of the event, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
In the Army Tournament, 20 Gajaba Regiment (GR) team won the 20/20 Championship while 18(V) GR became the runners-up.
In the Civil Tournament,
Minnoli Sport Club in Mankulam emerged Champions while the Youth Club in Paranthan won the runners-up trophy.
Trophies and certificates were given away by the Chief Guest to the winners and runners-up in both Army and Civil matches. General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Rankers and a large gathering of civil cricket fans witnessed the tournament and the final event.
