Officers and soldiers joined together and bought a stock of readymade clothes for distribution among 22 selected families living in Andamkulam village under the 543 Brigade Headquarters area.
On May 17, both officers and soldiers of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) serving the area distributed those packets of readymade clothes among those villagers who are affected with economic hardships.
19 VIR Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayaka, together with other officers organized the distribution.
