Troop serving under the Security Forces Headquarters Kilinochchi (SFHQ – KLN) who repaired and restored the bund at Rasayanagapuram tank in Kilinochchi district, damaged by recent floods received praise from the Department of Agrarian Development, Kilinochchi.
During the third week of this month, troops of 18 Gajaba Regiment attended to immediate remedial restoration work at Rasayanagapuram Tank since its bund was faced with a threat of bursting at any moment of the day as torrential rains continued and water levels were fast rising.
The troops of the SFHQ-KLN succeeded in averting a catastrophe on Wednesday (18) evening by restoring the bund at the Rasayanagapuram Tank in response to an SOS appeal of the people living near the tank.
