At the request of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital authorities, 17 Gemunu Watch (GW) organized a blood donation campaign to fulfill requirements of the hospital blood bank on Friday (01).
Lieutenant Colonel Lakshan Perera, Commanding Officer, 17 GW together with 64 Army personnel serving under the 17 GW at Kayts donated their blood as Jaffna Blood Bank ran short of blood required for patients waiting to undergo urgent surgeries.
Dr M Sivanija at Jaffna Teaching Hospital and her staff gave their assistance to conduct this blood donation camp.
