12 Division New GOC Assumes Duties

Major General R.A Nugera, the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) in the 12 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) assumed duties on Wednesday (2) during a simple ceremony at the Headquarters in Hambantota.

A Guard Turnout presented by the troops of the 12 Division saluted their new GOC, as a formality on arrival at the premises.

The newly-appointed GOC signed a formal document to signify the acceptance of the new office, amidst Buddhist religious observances.

After assumption of his duties, he exchanged views with officers and other rankers at the Divisional Headquarters premises.

Several senior officers, Officers and other ranks serving under the 12 Division attended the occasion.
