A programme to distribute a large stock of school accessories, equipment, exercise books and other stationery items among school students at Kendagasmankada Primary school, situated in a remote area off Hambantota got underway on Monday (6), consequent upon proper coordination, effected by the 12 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) in Hambantota.
Students and teachers at the Kendagasmankada primary school received the stock, donated jointly by the Nugegoda Lions Club and Old Teachers’ Association of Samudra Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Nugegoda. Teachers and children expressed their gratitude to the donors afterwards since the stock contained materials, needed for effective teaching.
On behalf of the 12 Division General Officer Commanding, Officers and other rankers of the 122 Brigade, took part in the event.
