A bushfire erupted in Ella area, Bandarawela was brought under control by the troops of the 112 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) on Monday (11).
A group of 46 members including one officer and 45 other ranks of the 112 Division contributed to the control of the emergency need.
Within a few hours, the troops managed to douse the fire and brought the situation under control.
