11 (V) GR Troops Support Clearance of Fallen Tree

Troops of the 11 (V) Gajaba Regiment (GR) serving under the 65 Division of the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) rose to the occasion on Tuesday and extended their maximum support to remove a huge tree that had fallen on the Primary Medical Care Unit at Jayapuram, disrupting provision of medical services to civilians in the area.

At the request of Kilinochchi medical authorities for urgent assistance for removal of the tree, 11 (V) GR troops on the instructions of Major General Sarath Weerawardana, General Officer Commanding 65 Division, rushed to the scene and gave their hand to others who were trying to remove the fallen tree.

Army troops with the support of others within a few minutes managed to take away the entire tree and clean the premises, clearing the building premises. Medical authorities thanked the Army for their speedy action and support for the removal.
